Warranty Registration Tracking (After Manual Staff Entry)

Help me track warranty registrations inside Shopify admin for my store [STORE NAME]. I sell [PRODUCT TYPE]; customers send me their registration details (order number, product, serial number, purchase date) by email or a form outside Shopify, and my team enters them — I want the record-keeping and reminders automated from there.


  For each registration my team enters, create a customer metafield storing: product purchased, serial number if applicable, purchase date, and coverage period of [WARRANTY DURATION].
  If I offer tiers ([TIER 1] covers [COVERAGE 1] for [DURATION 1], [TIER 2] covers [COVERAGE 2] for [DURATION 2]), store the tier as part of the same metafield.
  Tag the customer profile “warranty-registered” plus the expiration date, so I can filter/segment by it.
  Build a Shopify Flow that checks the expiration-date metafield daily and tags customers whose warranty is within [DAYS BEFORE] days of expiring, e.g. “warranty-expiring-soon”.
  Build a ShopifyQL report or exportable list of all customers tagged “warranty-registered”, with coverage tier and expiration date, for an internal tracking view.
  Draft the confirmation email copy (warranty details, coverage period) and the expiration-reminder copy for [DAYS BEFORE] days out — as text for my team to review and send manually or load into [EMAIL PLATFORM].
  Draft a short FAQ answering what is and isn’t covered (manufacturing defects vs. wear and tear, accidental damage) for me to place on my warranty info page.


Sidekick isn’t building the public-facing registration form or auto-sending emails — it’s the metafield/tag record-keeping, the expiration-tracking Flow, and draft copy once my team has the registration details in hand.
