Sidekick: Set Up Checkout Abandoned Cart Recovery

Enable and configure Shopify’s native abandoned checkout email for my store:

Store name: [YOUR STORE NAME]
Send delay: [1 HOUR / 6 HOURS / 10 HOURS / 24 HOURS] after abandonment
Discount to include (optional): [DISCOUNT AMOUNT OR NONE]

Do this:


  Enable the automatic abandoned checkout email in Shopify admin and set it to send [1 HOUR / 6 HOURS / 10 HOURS / 24 HOURS] after abandonment.
  Customize the email template subject line, body copy, and branding to match my store.
  If a discount is set, add a [DISCOUNT AMOUNT] code to the email with a clear expiration.
  Confirm the recovery link in the email restores the customer’s exact cart contents.


Note: a multi-email sequence, SMS follow-up, and an exit-intent popup go beyond Shopify’s native single recovery email — those need an email/SMS app (Klaviyo, Postscript) or a separate exit-intent app, not Sidekick.
