Set Up Exclusive Member-Only Pricing

Set up exclusive member pricing for my Shopify store’s VIP customers using a customer segment and a discount code — not checkout-level price display, which Sidekick can’t build.

Context:

  Qualifying customers: [QUALIFYING_TIER definition, e.g., customers tagged “VIP” or with lifetime spend over $X]
  Target collection: [TARGET_COLLECTION]
  Discount: [DISCOUNT_PERCENT]% off regular price


Steps:

  Create a customer segment named [SEGMENT_NAME] for customers who match: [QUALIFYING_TIER criteria — e.g., tagged “VIP” or placed 3+ orders in the last 12 months]
  Create a discount code [DISCOUNT_CODE] that:
    
      Gives [DISCOUNT_PERCENT]% off products in the [TARGET_COLLECTION] collection
      Is restricted to customers in the [SEGMENT_NAME] segment
      [STACKABLE_TAG: allows / does not allow] stacking with other discount codes
      Limits usage to [MAX_USES] per customer
      Expires: [EXPIRY_DATE or “no expiry”]
    
  
  Draft an email announcing the code to members of [SEGMENT_NAME], and a separate email inviting non-members to join [PROGRAM_NAME] to unlock it


Distribution:

  Send the code via Shopify Messaging/email to the [SEGMENT_NAME] segment
  Optionally save this as a Sidekick skill so I can regenerate the segment and a new code for each members-only promotion


Note: this delivers member pricing as a discount code applied at checkout for the qualifying segment. It does not automatically show a different shelf price per tier on the product page — that requires theme Liquid or Shopify Functions code, which Sidekick can’t write or deploy.
