Checkout Fraud Filters: Risk Report, Not Custom Rules

Help me use Shopify’s built-in fraud analysis to catch risky orders on my store:

Store Context:

  Payment gateway: [YOUR GATEWAY, e.g., Shopify Payments, Stripe]
  Current chargeback rate: [RATE, e.g., 0.5% or unknown]
  Highest risk product categories: [LIST, e.g., electronics, gift cards]
  Do you offer guest checkout: [YES/NO]


Shopify doesn’t expose custom AVS/CVV/BIN rule configuration to merchants — every order already gets a fraud analysis recommendation (Low/Medium/High risk) from Shopify’s own signals. Please:


  Pull my last [NUMBER, e.g., 30] days of orders and build a ShopifyQL report grouped by fraud analysis risk level (Low/Medium/High)
  Flag any Medium/High-risk orders that are still Open or Unfulfilled so I can review them before shipping
  For [HIGH-RISK CATEGORY, e.g., electronics, gift cards], show what share of orders in that category came back Medium/High risk over the same period
  Explain in plain terms what signals feed Shopify’s fraud analysis score, so I know what a “High risk” flag is actually telling me
  Recommend a manual-review habit (e.g., “hold Medium+ risk orders above $[AMOUNT] for review before fulfillment”) based on what the data shows


Custom velocity limits, BIN blocking, and third-party fraud screening (Signifyd, NoFraud, etc.) require a dedicated fraud app — Sidekick can recommend one, but can’t configure filter rules Shopify’s checkout doesn’t natively support.
