Bulk Inventory Update Workflow
Apply a bulk inventory quantity update from a SKU list across specified locations — preview before/after, flag zero-stock items, then execute.
📋 Prompt
Apply a bulk inventory update for my next incoming shipment from [SUPPLIER_NAME]. I need to update [NUMBER_OF_SKUS] SKUs across [NUMBER_OF_LOCATIONS] locations. Update source (SKU + change): [Paste the list here, one row per line — e.g. “SKU-101, Warehouse East, +50” or “SKU-102, Warehouse West, set to 0”. Columns: SKU, Location, Quantity Adjustment (positive/negative) or New Absolute Quantity, optional Reason Code / Notes.] Update type: Add/subtract from current quantity (received shipment, damaged goods, etc.) Set to a specific absolute quantity Before applying: Match each SKU to its product/variant and show current on-hand quantity per location. Show a preview table: SKU, location, current qty -> new qty. Flag any SKU where the update was not found (typo, missing SKU, invalid location) — do not guess, list them separately. Flag any product/variant that will drop to 0 stock as a result. Show total number of SKUs and locations affected, and net unit change. Ask for my confirmation before applying anything. After I confirm, apply the update: Update inventory levels for each matched SKU at its specified location. Report back: how many SKUs were updated successfully, how many were skipped/errored and why, and the final total inventory change. List the SKUs now at 0 stock so I can decide whether to hide them from sale.
