Set Up Birthday Rewards for Customers

Set up a birthday rewards program for my Shopify store in the [STORE_NICHE] niche.

The birthday reward should be a [REWARD_TYPE] (percentage discount, fixed amount off, free product, or bonus points) with a value of [REWARD_VALUE]. The reward code should be valid for [VALIDITY_DAYS] days starting from [DAYS_BEFORE_BIRTHDAY] days before the customer’s birthday.

Birthday data collection:

  Add a birthday field to the [COLLECTION_POINT] (account registration, post-purchase survey, or popup)
  Store the date in the customer metafield namespace [METAFIELD_NAMESPACE] with the key [METAFIELD_KEY]
  Only collect month and day to reduce privacy concerns: [COLLECT_YEAR] (yes or no)


Automated email sequence:

  Email 1: Sent [DAYS_BEFORE_BIRTHDAY] days before birthday with a teaser message
  Email 2: Sent on the birthday with the reward code and a personalized subject line including [CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME]
  Email 3: Sent [REMINDER_DAYS] days before the reward expires as a reminder


Each email should match my brand voice which is [BRAND_VOICE] (e.g., playful, professional, warm). Include subject lines, preview text, and body copy for all three emails.

Set a minimum purchase requirement of $[MINIMUM_PURCHASE] to use the birthday reward. The reward should be limited to one use per customer per year and should not stack with other promotions tagged [EXCLUDED_PROMO_TAG].

Also describe how to handle customers who add their birthday after the date has already passed for the current year.
